Itinerary*

Plan your departure carefully in case you need to leave a few days in advance to arrive on time. A more detailed itinerary will be provided within 30 days of your trip.

Day 1 - Check-in is anytime after 4 pm. Join your trip leaders and fellow travelers for a meet-and-greet happy hour at 6 pm on the Sultan Sun Deck overlooking Jordanelle Reservoir. Guides will go over the itinerary, answer questions, and talk about safety. Get a good night’s sleep, because tomorrow the fun begins!

Day 2 - The Alpine Fitness Retreat kicks off with our longest and most challenging bike tour. We’ll drive 30 minutes to Kamas, where we’ll ride the scenic Mirror Lake Highway, gateway to the Uinta National Forest. Prepare to bike to your hearts content, or your backside’s objection, whichever comes first! We’ll stop along the way for a picnic lunch before returning to base camp at the Hirsch.

This afternoon is your time to do with as you wish. Take a nap, go for a short hike, or enjoy a relaxing spa treatment at the Marc Raymond Salon. Tonight we’ll dine with the locals at the four-star rated Goldener Hirsch Restaurant. Take a time-out from exercise to relax and get centered on the weekend ahead with

Day 3 - Mt. Timpanogos is the EPIC hike that you came for! We’ll leave the Hirsch early to drive through Provo Canyon and over the Alpine Loop to the Timpooneke Trailhead. This will be an all day event. We’ll eat a picnic breakfast on the way as well as a picnic lunch high on the mountain. Ambitious hikers can expect to summit the 11,749 ft peak, the second tallest peak in the Wasatch Range, with local hiking legend Ben Woolsey. Not to worry if you’re not feeling that ambitious, the rest of us will rest our feet at a beautiful mountain lake.

Plan on a late afternoon return base camp, where you can rest your weary muscles in the hot tub before dining out in Park City at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 4 - Wildflowers wait, so warm up your mountain legs with a hike through the Wasatch-Cache range and the Deer Valley Resort. Prepare to top-out at any one of the resort’s spectacular viewpoints before returning to the bottom.

This afternoon the fitness freaks can bike the “Rail Trail,” a favorite among locals and vacationers alike for its scenic and easy riding in an old railroad bed. Those who’ve had enough exercise for the day can spend the afternoon fly-fishing, hot-air ballooning, or shopping the art galleries in Park City. Dinner tonight is on your own. Enjoy a quiet evening in the Hirsch or a rowdy night on the town in Park City – it’s up to you!

Day 5 - Check out time is 2 pm, but that leaves time for one more early morning hike before Goldener Hirsch chefs reveal the secrets of their special summer fare in a cooking demonstration and lunch. You’ve enjoyed their food all weekend; now discover for yourself why the Hirsch was named one of the top two resort restaurants in North America by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler.
