Alpine Fitness Retreat: Deer Valley, Utah : Testimonials

The idea of Goldener Hirsch Inn hosting Sol Fitness Adventure’s Alpine Fitness Retreat was first conceived during an epic personal training session between Sol’s Owner and lead guide, Melanie Webb, and the Hirsch’s President, C. Hope Eccles. The two native Utah women, who somehow found themselves mysteriously out of their wilderness element in Washington, D.C., were brainstorming ways of providing strung-out city dwellers with some much needed rest and rejuvenation.

Our premier 2007 retreat was so much fun we decided to do it again this year – only with a little more variety. We hope you enjoy our photo album from past retreats, and that you join us in 2010!

“We had perfect summer weather with mostly blue skies and the typical Utah mountain rain shower – the kind that roll in late in the afternoon, dump buckets, and clear out within the hour. Our guests included a pair of athletic female cousins, ages 57 and 22, seeking to stay in shape for the upcoming ski season while spending some quality time together. The group summitted Mt. Timpanogos, learned to make cheese fondue, and fell asleep to a starlit serenade of the Utah Symphony playing Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture – until the cannons went off, anyway!” -Melanie Webb, Owner, Sol Fitness Adventures

“Thanks for making this trip happen – it has been a delight for so many reasons. Not the least of which is your generous spirit and positive approach to everything.” – Jessie C.

“Many thanks again for creating this one-in-a-million adventure.” – Amanda C.
